T25 Universal C military training

Two versions of the Neiva Universal trainer aircraft are used by the Air Force Academy. This T-25A is used for basic training whereas instrument and navigation training is performed with the T-25C variant.

Basic procedures to fly T-25


Take off - full acelleration - 2650 RPM

Climbing 90 kt - full acelleration, 2450 RPM, very rich mixture

Cruise - wait until 100 kt and reduce to 20 pol (this procedure is the correction mixture before flight exercices and acrobatic events).

Cruise (trip) - wait until 100 kt and reduce 1 pol on the gas, then reduce mixture to 60 h/lt

Descent - 20 pol in the gas, 140 kt induced, rich mixture

Traffic circuit - 100 kt - 17 pol

Gear down while on wing leg -engine 23 pol

Flaps down 30 degrees at base leg, engine 15 pol and ajdust to 2650 RPM
